4th Annual Duck race & Duck of Distinction
We wish to express our sincere appreciation to everyone involved in making Lapeer County Habitat for Humanity’s Duck Race and Duck of Distinction competition a great success.

The 4th annual Habitat Duck Race took place in Cramton Park on August 16.

5th Annual Dinner Auction
Lapeer County Habitat 5th Annual Dinner Auction was held Saturday, October 20th. We were very pleased and happy to have as platinum sponsors and hosts, Joe and Diana Romine of the Countryside Banquet Center of Imlay City. Joe, Diana and their great staff welcome Lapeer County Habitat with open arms. The dinner was delicious and plentiful! Everyone at the Countryside Banquet Center makes the evening so enjoyable and relaxing. Thank you Joe, Diana, and your terrific staff.

4th Annual Bike Run - held at Ray C's Harley Davidson Buell, Lapeer
On a beautiful summers day, Lapeer County Habitat for Humanity held its 4th Annual Bike Run. With the help of many bikers, volunteers, and our wonderful sponsors we raised over $2000.00. These funds will be used to help another Lapeer County family achieve homeownership. Our 3rd LCHFH homeowner and her daughters worked all day. 3rd Annual Bike Run - held at Ray C's Harley Davidson Buell, Lapeer
On Saturday, August 13th Lapeer County Habitat for Humanity held its 3 rd Annual Bike Run. For the 3rd year our gracious host was Ray C's Harley Davidson Buell. LCHFH is grateful for all the support, help, cheerleading and donations that Ray C and his entire staff provide for us. Thanks goes to all the staff for setting up and help taking down the event. This year over 75 motorcycles of all different make and models participated in the event. Helping us raise over $2700.00.

Mrs. Vicki Bishop's Service Learning class
Almont Middle School, Almont, MI
We would like to thank Mrs Bishop's class for the $105 donation they made to Lapeer Habitat. This money was raised through holding a Dodgeball Tournament at the Almont Middle School on March 10, 2006.  Look at our home page for their next upcoming event in May.

3rd Annual Charity Fundraising Dinner and Auction, Nov. 5, 2005
Recently we held our annual fundraising dinner and auction. This year it was held at the Countryside Banquet Center of Imlay City. Nick and Pat Christy hosted this event for us. They provided not only a very nice facility, the food was really wonderful.

We were entertained this year by musician Ray Champion. He provided a very relaxing dinner show. Thanks Ray!. For the auction this year Kevin Rowden provided this service.

Many Thanks goes to Nick and Pat Christy and their very helpful staff, Ray Champion, Kevin Rowden, Busocci's Bakery. Kempf's Imlay City Florist for the centerpieces and auction items. The many businesses who donated auction items. Without the support of local businesses we would not be able to help another Lapeer County resident.

Thanks also to the volunteers who made this event take place. We look forward to seeing you there next year! We are thankful that the Countryside Banquet is helping us again next year! So mark your calendars for Saturday October 21, 2006.

DayLily Auction - July 12, 2005
Jim and Lorraine Jessop have coordinated a DayLily Auction for the past 19 years and have donated bulbs from their perennial gardens and the proceeds from their auction to a charity of their choice each year.

Thanks to their generousity this year Habitat received approximately $4,500. from this years auction. A very special Thank You to Jim and Lorraine Jessop for your donation and continued support of Lapeer Habitat.

Thank you also to all the individuals & volunteers who came out to the DayLily auction and helped contributed to a sucessful auction this year.

Lapeer HOG Chapter
We recently received an additional donation of $2,000.00 from the Lapeer Hog Chapter. What a great group of kind people! Thank you!

Habitat Bike Run and Classic Car Show - Saturday, August 13, 2005, Ray and Janet Clemens hosted our 2nd Annual Bike Run and Classic Car Show. The weather held out and we had 50 Bikes with 70 riders particated in the 2 hour ride that took them around the county.  We also had 10 classic cars show up for the show, boy were they sharp looking.  New this year we added a dunk tank! The staff of both stores collected $236.00 to be the first to dunk Ray! The Lapeer HOG chapter members collected $262.00 to get Mike, Service Manager at Ray C's to go in the tank. Also getting dunked was Larry, Director of Lapeer HOG's, and the great employees of Ray C's: Mike, Robert and Anthony. We thank them, for being part of the fun. Thanks Guys!!!

First place winner was the team of Charles and Kendra (cranky) Bruman. 2nd place was Glenda, she donated her winnings to Habitat.

Many thanks to all the riders, car guys, sponsors and volunteers. Lapeer Realtors Golf Outing - June 3rd, 2005
The Lapeer and Upper Thumb Association of Realtors held their annual Golf Outing on June 3rd at the Lapeer Country Club. A fun time was had by all! Over $4,400 was raised for Habitat.

We would like to thank The Lapeer Realtors for all the hard work, and contributions they have made to Lapeer Habitat. This was the second year they have held this fundraiser on our behalf. We look forward to next year and their continued support.

St. Paul Lutheran Church in Imlay City
Thank you - Reverend Alan Casillas and members of St Paul’s Lutheran Church in Imlay City recently raised $982 for Lapeer County Habitat for Humanity. Pastor Alan Casillas and Pastor Joyce Johnston (Brown City Lutheran Church) welcomed parishioners and Lapeer County Habitat for Humanity volunteers to the event.

Members of the church opened their hearts and their kitchen to Lapeer County Habitat for Humanity and the community. In the weeks leading up to the dinner parishioners donated the necessary food for the dinner and volunteers from the parish staffed the kitchen.

From the congregations Lenten offerings another $2780 was raised.

Walk for Habitat - May 14th, 2005
29 walkers challenged the weather to show their support for Habitat! Over $5,200 was raised from this event!

This 4-mile walk started and ended at the Lapeer Home Depot store.
